Savanna Plateau
Overworld (warm)
A flat-topped savanna raised high above the plains, usually below stony peaks. Same acacia grassland as the savanna below, but with spotted wolves, llamas and no villages or pillager outposts.
Resources
- Acacia wood
- Tall grass for seeds
- Llamas for caravans (in Java they spawn here, not in regular savannas)
Mobs
- Spotted wolves - the pack variant unique to this biome
- Llamas, horses and armadillos (warm variants)
- Standard hostile mobs at night
Structures
- None: no villages and no pillager outposts
- Dripstone caves and the deep dark can generate underneath
Why go
- The only place to find spotted wolves
- Llama caravans for moving loot across the highlands
- Elevated, defensible base sites with wide views
Tips
- The plateau edges are natural walls - wall off the ramps and you have a fortress.
- No villages means setting your own spawn early; a bed and a farm should be your first build.
