Quick answer: Cuts damage from fire sources by 8% per level on each piece: fire, lava, magma blocks, lit campfires, blaze projectiles, flaming arrows and burning zombies. It also shortens burning time. Blaze and magma cube contact damage and ghast fireballs are not reduced. Total damage reduction from all armor enchantments caps at 80%.

All armor pieces and turtle shell.

- Enchanting table
- Enchanted books from fishing, trial chamber vaults, librarian villagers and structure loot
- Combine in an anvil
Best uses
Swap it in for Protection only when one damage source is the main threat. It cannot be combined with Protection or the other protection types on the same piece.
Incompatible with
Protection, Blast Protection, Projectile Protection - an item can only hold one of these.
