Quick answer: Each armor piece has a level x 15% chance to deal 1-5 damage to an attacker that hits you. Pieces stack their chances, but because of the invulnerability timer the total damage is capped at the highest single hit.

Chestplates, helmets, leggings and boots.

- Enchanting table (levels I-III, rarer than most)
- Enchanted books from loot, fishing and librarian villagers
- Combine in an anvil
Best uses
Situational: it punishes melee attackers but drains armor durability fast. Many players keep it off their main set and put it on a spare set instead.
