Flower Farm

Beginner Different design per edition

Produces: All dye flowers: tulips, allium, azure bluet, oxeye daisy, cornflower, lily of the valley, plus renewable tall flowers

Quick answer: Bonemeal on grass blocks grows flowers matching the biome (15x5x15 area in Java, 7x5x7 in Bedrock). For tall flowers like sunflowers and peonies, bonemeal the flower itself and it drops a copy - the only renewable way to get them. A dispenser clicking bonemeal over a grass platform with a water harvest is the whole farm.

How it works

Materials

Build steps

  1. Pick the biome: flower forest for variety; check the wiki's per-biome tables for the rest.
  2. Lay a grass platform (Java: up to 7 blocks out from the click point) with hoppers at the low edge.
  3. Set a dispenser clicking bonemeal on the center grass block on an observer clock.
  4. A periodic water sweep pushes flowers into the hoppers.
  5. For tall flowers, place one of each on grass and click bonemeal directly on them - every click duplicates the flower.
  6. Sort or compost the output: flowers become dyes, dyes become everything else.

Rates

A flower forest dispenser setup produces hundreds of mixed flowers per bonemeal stack. Tall-flower duplication is exactly 1 flower per bonemeal - slow but fully automatic with a dispenser facing the flower.
