Bundle
Utility Stack: 1 Since 1.21.2 (Bundles of Bravery)
Quick answer: Craft it: 1 string above 1 leather in the crafting grid - that is the whole recipe.
How to get it
- Craft it: 1 string above 1 leather in the crafting grid - that is the whole recipe
- Dye it with any dye to get one of 16 colored variants (shapeless: bundle + dye)
- Fully renewable: string from spiders and cobwebs, leather from cows and other mobs
Uses
- Stores up to one stack's worth of MIXED items in a single inventory slot - 64 bundle slots total
- 64-stack items cost 1 slot each; 16-stack items (eggs, ender pearls) cost 4; unstackable items (a sword) eat the whole bundle
- Pick items out individually: open the bundle in your inventory and scroll/select what to extract
- Bundles nest inside bundles (an inner bundle costs 4 slots plus its contents), and bundles go inside shulker boxes - but shulker boxes never go inside bundles
- Best friends: early-game inventory triage, caving junk sorting, and carrying one of every flower for dye runs
Renewability
Renewable: string and leather are both farmable.
Java vs Bedrock
Behaves the same in Java and Bedrock. In Java, slot cost is computed from the item's max_stack_size data component, so modded or edited items with unusual stack sizes pack accordingly.
