How to get it

• Craft it: a regular chest surrounded by 8 copper ingots
• Build a copper golem: the block of copper you use turns into a copper chest facing the pumpkin
• Oxidized copper chests also generate naturally in abandoned camps

Uses

• Storage like a wooden chest, and the copper golem's source: it takes items out of copper chests to sort them into wooden chests
• Place two next to each other to merge into a large copper chest - different oxidation stages still merge (the result takes the least oxidized stage and unwaxes); sneak-place in Java or push with a piston in Bedrock to keep them separate
• Oxidizes through 4 stages like other copper; scrape with an axe, strike with lightning, or wax with a honeycomb to stop it

Renewability

Renewable: copper ingots from smelting copper ore, chests from planks.

Java vs Bedrock

Same in Java and Bedrock; added in Java 1.21.9 and Bedrock 1.21.111. Waterloggable, mined fastest with a stone pickaxe or better.
