- Find them in abandoned camps, usually within 1-2 blocks of the campfire; white cushions also appear in loot chests
Uses
- Right-click to sit: while seated, portals, knockback, pistons and geysers cannot move you until you dismount
- Decoration: they rest on any flat surface, including slabs, stairs lower step, snow layers, wildflowers and enchanting tables
- Furnace fuel: 4 cushions smelt 1 item
- Break instantly when attacked and always drop themselves, so rearranging is free

Yes - wool slabs come from sheep wool, and cushions always drop themselves.
Java vs Bedrock
In Java a piston breaks a cushion; in Bedrock a piston can push it if there is a block in front. Unlike wool blocks, cushions do NOT dampen sculk sensor or shrieker vibrations in either edition. On Bedrock it is currently behind the "Drop 3 of 2026" experiment toggle.
