Iron Nugget
Material Stack: 64 Since 1.11.1
Quick answer: Craft an iron ingot into 9 nuggets, or smelt iron tools, weapons and armor down to nuggets (0.1 XP).
How to get it
- Craft an iron ingot into 9 nuggets, or smelt iron tools, weapons and armor down to nuggets (0.1 XP)
- Barter with piglins: about 2.1% of gold ingots come back as 10-36 iron nuggets
- Loot bastion, ruined portal and village chests for spare nuggets
Uses
- Craft lanterns (1 torch + 8 nuggets) - the prettiest light source for paths and docks
- Craft chains for hanging builds and soul lanterns with soul torches
- Craft 9 back into an iron ingot when your smeltery harvest adds up
- Recycle old gear: smelt every looted iron sword and chestplate instead of throwing them away
