Copper Golem

PassiveHealth: 12 (6 hearts)JavaBedrock

Quick answer: It never spawns naturally. Build one by placing a block of copper (any oxidation stage, waxed works too) and then a carved pumpkin or jack o'lantern on top - the pumpkin must go last, by hand, dispenser or even an enderman. The copper block turns into a copper chest and the golem spawns where the pumpkin was.

How to find Copper Golem

It never spawns naturally. The copper block turns into a copper chest and the golem spawns where the pumpkin was.

Spawn conditions: Player-built only (block of copper + carved pumpkin or jack o'lantern placed last; the pattern works horizontally or upside-down), via spawn egg, or by using an axe on an unwaxed, unoxidized copper golem statue to reanimate it. The golem and its chest match the oxidation stage of the block used.

How to kill Copper Golem

No reason to: it is passive and only sorts your chests. If you must, it has just 12 HP, panics and runs when attacked, takes no fall damage and sinks in water without drowning.

Behavior

Takes up to 16 of the first item it finds out of copper chests and stores them in nearby wooden chests or trapped chests that are empty or already hold that item type. It spends 3 seconds examining each chest, remembers up to 9 copper chests, and after checking 10 without finding anything it wanders for 7 seconds and forgets. In Java it cannot tell apart potion contents, tipped arrow types or suspicious stews - Bedrock can. It ignores durability, enchantments, names and shulker box contents. Opens non-iron doors, spins its head, sinks in water without drowning and takes no fall damage.

Taming and breeding

Cannot be tamed or bred. Wax it with a honeycomb to freeze its oxidation; scrape with an axe to remove wax or revert one stage (lightning also removes stages). After 7 hours to 7 h 40 min (21-23 in-game days) a fully oxidized, unwaxed golem freezes into a copper golem statue and drops what it was holding - use an axe on the statue to bring it back.
