How to find Parched
Deserts at night: replaces 50% of skeleton spawns under the open sky in Java (groups of 4) and about 33% on the surface in Bedrock (groups of 2-4).
Spawn conditions: Night spawns in desert biomes in place of some skeletons; also appears as the second passenger of camel husk jockeys (10% of natural husks) and, in Bedrock, as an 80% rider on desert spider jockeys (1% of desert spiders).
Drops
| Item | Amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Bone | 0-2 | +0-1 per Looting level |
| Arrow | 0-2 | +0-1 per Looting level |

How to kill Parched
Fight it like a skeleton with less health, but remember it does not burn in sunlight and its arrows inflict 30 seconds of Weakness - close the distance fast or use a shield.
Behavior
A desert skeleton variant with less health that never burns in daylight, fires its bow more slowly and shoots tipped arrows of Weakness (30 seconds). In powder snow it takes freeze damage instead of converting into a stray, and it is immune to the Weakness effect itself. Like all undead, Instant Health harms it and Instant Damage heals it - and a parched that kills a creeper drops a music disc.
Taming and breeding
