How to kill Zombie Villager
Fight it like a normal zombie - but think twice: a cured zombie villager gives permanent trading discounts. Trap it under a roof instead of killing it.
Behavior
Attacks players, villagers, wandering traders and iron golems like a zombie, breaks doors on Hard, and converts villagers it kills (50% Normal, 100% Hard) - one zombie villager can doom a whole village. Burns in daylight unless wearing a helmet or standing in water or shade.
Taming and breeding
Cannot be tamed - but it can be CURED: splash it with Weakness (splash/lingering potion or arrow of Weakness), then use a normal golden apple. Curing takes 3-5 minutes, sped up ~4.2% by surrounding it with up to 14 iron bars or beds (copper bars do not count). The cured villager gives permanent trade discounts and keeps its profession and trades if it had any.
