The story
The seed that taught the community what seeds were for. Shared on February 25-27, 2011, right after Beta 1.3 added the seed input box, 'gargamel' dumped players inside a pitch-black cave - many thought they had spawned at night or in hell - and the world outside was an outrageous landscape of overhangs, cliffs and floating rock. It became the first viral seed and the template for every seed showcase since.
Notes
- The spawn is literally inside a dark cave: dig up or toward the light to escape, then enjoy the terrain
- Load it in Beta 1.3 through 1.7.3 for the original world; later versions generate different terrain from the same word
