The story
The background panorama of the Minecraft title screen during the Nether Update (1.16): a blue-green warped forest with its huge fungi. The community project Minecraft@Home located the exact seed and viewpoint in mid-2020, shortly after the snapshot released, using distributed computing across thousands of volunteer machines.
Notes
- Load it in Java 1.16 (or the 20w13a snapshot) for the exact panorama terrain
- The viewpoint sits in a warped forest - the blue biome with huge warped fungi
- The same project also found the pack.png seed and the Beta-era title panorama
