How to find it
- Generates in deep ocean variants - look for the dark prismarine mass under water
- Buy an Ocean Explorer Map from a journeyman cartographer
- Dolphins lead you to ruins and shipwrecks, not monuments - use maps or /locate structure minecraft:monument
Loot
- 8 gold blocks in the treasure room at the core
- Wet sponges from sponge rooms (dry them in a furnace or the Nether)
- Prismarine shards and crystals from guardians (sea lanterns, all prismarine variants)
- Tide armor trim from elder guardians (~20%)
- The monument itself: infinite prismarine, sea lanterns and dark prismarine
Dangers
- Guardians: laser beams and thorny spikes, everywhere
- Three elder guardians inflict Mining Fatigue III (5 minutes) - no mining until they die
- Drowning: bring water breathing, doors (Java) or a conduit plan
- Deep ocean means drowned patrols above too
Tips
- Kill the three elders first: milk buckets clear Mining Fatigue.
- Drink Water Breathing + Depth Strider III, or place a conduit outside the monument.
- Drain it with sand walls and sponges to convert it into the classic guardian XP farm.
- In Java, TNT duplicators and flying machines are the standard draining tech.
