How to find it
- Generates in any biome where villages generate: plains, desert, savanna, taiga, snowy plains, meadow and more
- Semi-rare: every few hundred to a couple thousand blocks, rarer than villages but common enough to stumble into
- /locate structure minecraft:pillager_outpost
Loot
- Ominous bottles from the raid captains (the pillagers with banner hats): drink one to get Bad Omen for raids and ominous trials
- Watchtower chest: dark oak logs, arrows, food, tripwire hooks, sometimes a crossbow or enchanted crossbow
- Freeing the jailed allays gives you item-collecting pets; the caged iron golem fights by your side when released
Dangers
- Pillagers spawn continuously around the outpost at any light level, crossbows drawn, and outrange an unprepared player
- The captain drops an ominous bottle - drink it by accident near a village and you start a raid you may not survive
- In Bedrock, pillagers keep spawning even after you tear the tower down
Tips
- Do not fight at ground level: pillar up beside the tower, clear the top floors first, then loot down.
- Save the ominous bottle for when you are standing in the village you want to defend - Bad Omen lasts 100 minutes.
- The allay jail and golem cage are side structures that do not always generate: check the perimeter.
