How to find it
- Generates in village biomes and also cherry grove, grove, snowy slopes and peaks
- Semi-rare: every several hundred to a couple thousand blocks, rarer than villages, less rare than mansions. In Java never within villages
- /locate structure minecraft:pillager_outpost
Loot
- Raid captains drop an ominous bottle of level 1-5; drinking it gives Bad Omen for 100 minutes
- The watchtower chest sits on the top level
- Cages hold an iron golem (85% chance) or allays (50% chance); they are optional side structures
Dangers
- Pillagers keep spawning around the outpost (Java: light level 8 or less, in a 72x58x72 area), even if you stand in the tower
- A total of eight pillagers, including the captain, spawn at generation
Tips
- Drinking the bottle near a village starts a raid.
