How to find it
- Buried archaeology sites in forests, taiga, old growth taiga, snowy taiga and jungle - only the terracotta tip shows above ground
- /locate structure minecraft:trail_ruins
- Look for exposed colored terracotta blocks in hillsides
Loot
- Suspicious gravel: brush it for pottery sherds (unique trail-ruins patterns)
- Four exclusive armor trims: Host, Raiser, Shaper and Wayfinder
- Dyes, wooden tools, bricks and other common archaeology drops
- Colored glazed terracotta and mud bricks as building salvage
Dangers
- Gravel cave-ins while excavating
- The buried structure is big - most loot sits deep underground
- Creepers in the surrounding forest while you dig
Tips
- Bring a brush, shovel and patience: only the suspicious gravel blocks contain loot - brush, never mine them.
- Suspicious gravel looks identical to normal gravel but falls without dropping... it behaves like gravel with gravity; mark it before the pit collapses.
- Excavate in a grid: the full site stretches 30+ blocks and much is under stone.
- Each armor trim drops rarely - expect to clear several sites for the full set.
