How to find it
- Generates only in dark forest (and pale garden) biomes, often 10,000+ blocks from spawn
- Buy a Woodland Explorer Map from a journeyman cartographer villager - it marks the mansion exactly
- /locate structure minecraft:mansion
Loot
- Totems of undying from evokers (always drop one)
- Emeralds from vindicators and evokers
- Chest loot: enchanted golden apples, diamond hoe/chestplate, name tags, music discs, leads
- Allays trapped in jail cells - free them
- Wool, bookshelves and decorations to salvage
Dangers
- Vindicators: sprinting axe illagers whose hits disable shields
- Evokers: summon vexes and fang lines - kill them first
- Vexes phase through walls
- Most rooms are dark: hostile mobs of every kind spawn inside during the raid
Tips
- Go at full iron+ gear with a shield, bow, food and torches; a bed outside sets your spawn.
- Light every room as you clear it - the mansion is dark enough for mobs to keep spawning.
- Secret rooms (no windows) hide behind walls: look for gaps in the map or torch through.
- After clearing, a mansion makes a spectacular mega-base with dozens of furnished rooms.
