Snowy Plains
Overworld (surface)
The classic ice plains: flat grassland buried under snow layers, dotted with igloos, spruce villages and pillager outposts. Polar bears and rabbits are the only passive mobs, and the nights belong to skeletons and strays - bring a bed and a bow.

Resources
- Snow and ice in unlimited quantities - silk touch or shovels
- Spruce wood from the village builds and nearby snowy taigas
- Rabbit hides and feet from the only passive mob food source
- Igloo basements: brewing stands, cauldrons and a free zombie-villager curing setup
Mobs
- Polar bears (neutral - protective near cubs) and rabbits
- Skeletons and strays at night; in Bedrock they are the ONLY hostile spawns here
- Rare zombie horsemen; standard hostiles in Java
Structures
- Igloos - half of them hide a basement with a villager and a zombie villager
- Snowy villages built from spruce wood
- Pillager outposts
Why go
- Igloo basements teach villager curing and stock a brewing stand for free
- Snow farms for snow golems and snow blocks
- A flat, dramatic building canvas with frozen rivers and ice spikes nearby
Tips
- Snow layers stack deeper in Bedrock than Java - shovels pay off faster there.
- Leather boots let you walk on powder snow patches without sinking.
- Stray arrows slow you for 30 seconds: raise a shield before closing in at night.
- Sugar cane uproots itself here when water freezes - check riverbanks early.
