Minecraft /kill command
Java EditionBedrock EditionSince Alpha v1.2.6 (server 0.2.8)
Quick answer: Instantly kills entities. Syntax:
/kill [target]/kill removes the target entity immediately - mobs, items, vehicles or players (even in creative mode, players die). With no target it kills the command's executor.
Syntax
| Edition | Syntax |
|---|---|
| Java | /kill [target] |
| Bedrock | /kill [target: target] |
Targets / arguments: any entity; without a target, the executor. Requires: Cheats enabled / operator level 2.
Examples
/kill @e[type=minecraft:zombie]Kill every loaded zombie
/kill @e[type=minecraft:item]Clear all dropped items on the ground - lag cleanup
/kill @sKill yourself (respawn at your spawn point)
Tips
- @e without a type selector kills everything loaded, including armor stands, paintings and you - always add a type.
- Item cleanup on servers: /kill @e[type=item] is the standard anti-lag command.
