Quick answer: Switches a player between survival, creative, adventure and spectator mode. Syntax:
/gamemode <mode> [target]/gamemode changes how a player interacts with the world: survival (health and hunger), creative (unlimited blocks, flight), adventure (no block breaking without the right tools) and spectator (fly through blocks, Java only).

Tips
- Short forms work in Java: /gamemode c, /gamemode s, /gamemode a, /gamemode sp.
- Spectator mode does not exist in Bedrock Edition.
- On servers, changing another player's gamemode requires higher operator permissions.
