Minecraft /spawnpoint command
Java EditionBedrock EditionSince 1.4.2 (as separate command)
Quick answer: Sets where players respawn. Syntax:
/spawnpoint [target] [pos] [angle]/spawnpoint changes a player's individual respawn location without needing a bed. Unlike /setworldspawn it only affects the targets you name, and it works in any dimension - set a respawn in the Nether without a respawn anchor.
Syntax
| Edition | Syntax |
|---|---|
| Java | /spawnpoint [target] [pos] [angle] |
| Bedrock | /spawnpoint [player: target] [spawnPoint: x y z] |
Targets / arguments: players. Requires: Cheats enabled / operator level 2.
Examples
/spawnpoint @sRespawn where you stand
/spawnpoint @a 100 64 200Send every player's respawn to those coordinates
/spawnpoint Steve 0 65 0Move only Steve's respawn point
Tips
- Beds and respawn anchors override /spawnpoint when valid; break them and the spawnpoint applies.
- For a global default for new players, use /setworldspawn instead.
