Enderman Farm

Advanced Java + Bedrock

Produces: Ender pearls and huge amounts of XP (5 XP per enderman)

Quick answer: An enderman farm sits in the End: spawning platforms more than 128 blocks from other spawnable blocks, a name-tagged endermite in a minecart as bait and a 43-block drop that leaves them at half a heart for a one-hit kill. With enough platforms, XP comes in very fast.

How it works

Materials

Build steps

  1. Beat the ender dragon, then bridge or pearl 128+ blocks away from the main island in any direction - the void is your spawn-proofing.
  2. Build the spawning platforms more than 128 blocks from any other spawnable block, with the spawning pads at least 43 blocks above the landing area.
  3. Set the bait: throw pearls until an endermite appears (5% chance each), catch it in a minecart over the hole, and name it before 2 minutes pass.
  4. Build the drop chute below the hole: 43 blocks of fall leaves endermen one hit from death; 44+ kills them outright if you only want pearls.
  5. Add the kill floor: a safe spot at the bottom where you swipe at their feet - sweeping-edge swords hit whole groups in Java.
  6. Stand on the AFK spot: endermen spawn on the platform, see the endermite, path to it and fall.
  7. Collect: hoppers under the kill floor feed chests; expect to fill them with pearls faster than you can use them.
  8. Repair your gear for free: the XP stream mends every mending item you hold or wear in seconds.

Rates

A well-built enderman farm is one of the fastest XP sources in the game - around level 30 in a minute at full speed - and produces ender pearls by the chest. Even a rough first build reaches level 30 in a few minutes.
