Wandering Trader Trades in Minecraft: Every Offer

Guide Java Bedrock

Quick answer: The wandering trader buys hay bales, water bottles, baked potatoes (4), milk buckets (2 emeralds), water buckets (2 emeralds) and fermented spider eyes (3 emeralds) from you, and sells biome-rare items: logs and saplings of every tree type, podzol, moss blocks, pointed dripstone, coral blocks, sea pickles, glowstone, slimeballs, nautilus shells, packed and blue ice, gunpowder, name tags, golden dandelions and an enchanted iron pickaxe. It spawns near you roughly every 14 in-game days with two llamas.

What you need

Step by step

  1. Purchase offers (the trader buys from you): a hay bale, water bottle or 4 baked potatoes for 1 emerald; a milk bucket or water bucket for 2 emeralds; a fermented spider eye for 3 emeralds. Each can be traded twice per trader.
  2. Special sales: packed ice (1 emerald), 4 gunpowder (1), 8 logs of any wood type - including pale oak, cherry, mangrove and poplar - (1), 3 podzol (3), a potion of Invisibility (5), blue ice (6) and an enchanted iron pickaxe (6-20).
  3. Ordinary sales for 1 emerald: ferns, sugar cane, pumpkins, every flower, all seed types, name tags, 2 sulfur spikes, 3 of any dye, vines, pale hanging moss, mushrooms, shelf mushrooms, 5 lily pads, 2 small dripleaf, 8 sand, 4 red sand, 2 pointed dripstone, 2 rooted dirt, 2 moss or pale moss blocks, wildflowers and tall dry grass.
  4. Ordinary sales for 2-3 emeralds: golden dandelions (2), sea pickles (2), glowstone (2), buckets of tropical fish or pufferfish (3), kelp (3), cactus (3), coral blocks of all five types (3) and firefly bushes (3).
  5. Ordinary sales for 4-5 emeralds: slimeballs (4), saplings of every tree type including mangrove propagules and pale oak and poplar saplings (5), and nautilus shells (5).
  6. Best buys: slimeballs and nautilus shells are the hardest items on the list to farm, and the saplings unlock whole tree types without finding the biome.
  7. The trader despawns after 40-60 minutes and drinks an invisibility potion at night - trade early, and remember it only appears near a player who has been in the world a while.
  8. Do not expect restocks: each wandering trader has a fixed, random set of offers, so check every one that spawns.

Java vs Bedrock

The wandering trader is a traveling biome shop: emeralds in, biome-locked plants, corals, slimeballs and shells out - plus it now buys your junk for emeralds.

Versions: Offers are the same on Java and Bedrock. The purchase offers, name tag, sulfur spike, shelf mushroom, golden dandelion, poplar and pale oak offers are current as of 26.x.
