How to find Bee

Living in bee nests on oak, birch, mangrove and cherry trees. Meadows always have them (100% nest chance per tree); plains, sunflower plains and cherry groves around 5%.

Spawn conditions: Naturally generated oak, birch, mangrove and cherry trees can grow with a bee nest holding 2-3 bees: 100% of trees in meadows, about 5% in plains, sunflower plains and cherry groves, less elsewhere. Bees are the only arthropod that spawns on Peaceful.

How to kill Bee

Easy to kill but pointless: bees drop no items, only 1-3 experience. The real risk is the swarm - anger one and every nearby bee stings once for Poison I (10 seconds on Normal, 18 on Hard), then dies from losing its stinger. They are arthropods, so Bane of Arthropods works if you must.

Behavior

Flies up to 22 blocks from home collecting nectar from flowers. A bee returning with nectar raises the honey level of its nest or beehive by 1 (1% chance of 2); at level 5 you can harvest honeycombs with shears or honey bottles with empty bottles. Harvesting or breaking the home angers every bee nearby unless a campfire burns within 5 blocks below. Silk Touch moves a hive with the bees kept neutral inside. Hives house 3 bees, enter from any side but exit only through the front. Water hurts them, and open eyeblossoms poison them while golden dandelions get ignored.

Taming and breeding

Cannot be tamed, but bees follow flowers and breed with them, dropping 1-7 experience per baby. Leads work even on angry bees.
