Spawn conditions: Grass blocks at light level 9+ in most Overworld biomes. Thrown eggs hatch chicks 1 time in 8. Rare chicken jockeys appear when a baby zombie spawns riding a chicken.

How to kill Chicken
One hit from anything. A Looting sword gives more feathers and meat.
Behavior
Wanders, flaps slowly to the ground (takes no fall damage), and lays an egg every 5-10 minutes. Follows seeds. Ocelots and foxes hunt them.
Taming and breeding
Breed with any seeds (wheat, pumpkin, melon, beetroot, torchflower). Thrown eggs hatch 1 time in 8 (and 1/256 for 4 chicks at once).
