How to kill Dolphin

Drops 0-1 raw cod. But a live dolphin is a treasure detector and a speed boost - killing one is the worst trade in the ocean.

Behavior

Swims in pods, leaps over the surface and plays with dropped items. Feed it raw cod or salmon and it swims straight to the nearest shipwreck, ocean ruin or buried treasure - the in-game treasure compass. Swimming near a dolphin grants Dolphin's Grace, a big swim-speed boost. It needs BOTH air and water: it drowns submerged and suffocates beached. Hit one and the whole pod turns on you.

Taming and breeding

Cannot be tamed or bred. Babies can be fed golden dandelions; the treasure-guide behavior only needs raw cod or salmon.
