Drops

ItemAmountNotes
Goat Horn1Not a death drop: an adult loses a horn when it rams stone, ore, logs or packed ice
Experience1-3Only when killed by a player or tamed wolf

How to kill Goat

It drops nothing but 1-3 experience, so there is little point. If you must: it never retaliates when attacked, but watch the ram - up to 3 damage and 9 blocks of knockback near cliffs.

Behavior

Climbs mountains, leaps up to 10 blocks vertically and 5 across to cross obstacles, takes 10 less fall damage and avoids powder snow. Every 30 seconds to 5 minutes it rams a stationary target within 4-16 blocks (players, armor stands, most mobs) for 1-3 damage and 9 blocks of knockback - screaming goats every 5-15 seconds. If a ram misses and hits stone, coal, copper, iron or emerald ore, a log or packed ice, the goat drops one horn. Holding wheat stops a goat mid-preparation.

Taming and breeding

Cannot be tamed. Follows and breeds with wheat; babies take 20 minutes to grow. A bred screaming goat passes on the screaming trait.
