Spawn conditions: Only inside the 58x58 ocean monument bounding box, in water. Guardian farms drain the monument and funnel spawns into kill chambers.

How to kill Guardian
Fight them out of water or with Depth Strider + Respiration gear. Their laser charges for 2 seconds: break line of sight behind a pillar to reset it. In melee, watch the spikes - hitting a guardian with extended spikes hurts you back (Thorns-like).
Behavior
Swims around the monument and zaps players, squid and axolotls with a charging laser. Spikes extend when it takes damage and reflect part of melee hits.
Taming and breeding
Cannot be tamed or bred. Axolotls attack guardians and help you raid monuments.
