How to find Sniffer
Nowhere: it never spawns naturally. Hatch it from a sniffer egg brushed out of suspicious sand in warm ocean ruins.
Spawn conditions: Never spawns on its own. Brush suspicious sand in warm ocean ruins for a sniffer egg, place it, and it hatches in 10 minutes on a moss block or 20 minutes anywhere else. The snifflet needs 40 minutes (two in-game days) to become an adult.

How to kill Sniffer
There is no reason to: it is a gentle giant that drops only 1-3 experience. If you must, it never fights back.
Behavior
Wanders around and occasionally presses its snout to the ground to dig up ancient seeds: torchflower seeds or a pitcher pod, 50/50. It digs on dirt, grass, coarse dirt, rooted dirt, podzol, moss, pale moss, mud and muddy mangrove roots, but never mycelium. After each dig it remembers the spot (last 20) and rests for 8 minutes. It cannot dig while leashed, tempted, panicking, in water or riding a boat or minecart.
Taming and breeding
Breed two adults with torchflower seeds: they drop a sniffer egg as an item and need a 5 minute cooldown. In Bedrock only full-health sniffers breed, and feeding torchflower seeds heals 2 HP. Feeding a snifflet torchflower seeds cuts its remaining growth time by 10% each.
