How to find Tadpole

Hatches from frogspawn (the eggs frogs lay on water after breeding) in groups of 2-5. It never spawns naturally on its own.

Spawn conditions: Hatches from frogspawn blocks in groups of 2-5; frogspawn appears on water after two frogs are bred with slimeballs.

Drops

It drops no items or experience.

How to kill Tadpole

It is a passive baby mob with 6 health, but there is no reason to kill it: like all baby animals it drops nothing, not even experience.

Behavior

Swims aimlessly, follows players holding a slimeball and is hunted by axolotls. On land it flops around and dies in under 20 seconds. It grows into a frog after 20 minutes - each slimeball fed speeds growth by 10%, and a golden dandelion pauses its aging entirely. Scoop it up with a water bucket to move it; the bucket keeps its health, age and custom name.

Taming and breeding

Cannot be bred (it is a baby itself), but you choose its adult form: the biome where it matures decides the frog variant - temperate biomes give the orange frog, cold biomes the green frog and warm biomes the white frog. Bucket it to the biome you want before it grows up.
