How to get Oh Shiny

Take off any gold armor you are wearing: the advancement only triggers if you are NOT wearing golden armor (with gold on, piglins never turn hostile to you).
Make a piglin aggressive: punch it, mine gold ore or gilded blackstone near it, or open a chest in its sight.
Throw any gold item at the angry piglin. A gold ingot is the cheapest option.
The piglin stops attacking to pick up and examine the gold. That distraction completes the advancement.

Tips

Any gold item works for the distraction, but only gold ingots trigger actual bartering with item returns. Keep an escape route ready: other piglins nearby stay hostile even while one admires your gold.
