Sulfur Caves
Overworld (cave)
Acid-green cave biome made of sulfur and cinnabar, added in 26.2 (Chaos Cubed). Home of the sulfur cube, with bubbling sulfur pools, spikes and a unique green fog.

Resources
- Sulfur and cinnabar blocks (new building palettes with slab/stair variants)
- Potent sulfur at the bottom of sulfur pools
- Sulfur spikes (hazard and decoration)
- Bounce music disc: minecart chests from mineshafts crossing sulfur caves can contain it
Mobs
- Sulfur cubes (passive, only spawn here)
- Cave spiders
- Glow squid in the pools
Structures
- No structures generate inside, but mineshafts can cross the biome (their minecart chests may hold the Bounce disc)
- Sulfur springs on the surface above mark the biome below
Why go
- The only source of sulfur, cinnabar and potent sulfur blocks
- The only place to find and bucket sulfur cubes
- A striking acid-green cave palette for builders
Tips
- Do not swim in the pools: potent sulfur creates a noxious gas that inflicts Nausea on contact.
- Look for sulfur springs at the surface (green-tinted water seeps), common under flatland near swamps and deserts - they mean sulfur caves below.
- Bring a bucket: large sulfur cubes can be picked up and carried home.
- The biome generates at the same depths as lush and dripstone caves, but much smaller and more fragmented.
