Quick answer: Summons a lightning bolt when a thrown trident hits an entity or a lightning rod during a thunderstorm, including in dry biomes. It raises ranged trident damage from 8 to 13. Creepers become charged creepers, pigs become zombified piglins and villagers become witches. No opaque or partly transparent block may sit above the target.

Best uses
Used for charged creepers and as extra damage in storms. It cannot share a trident with Riptide.
Incompatible with
Riptide - an item can only hold one of these.
