How to Get the Pigstep Music Disc in Minecraft
Guide Java Bedrock
What you need
- Gold armor piece (piglin neutrality)
- Decent weapon and shield (piglin brutes)
- Fire resistance potion (bastion lava)
- A jukebox back home (8 planks + 1 diamond)
Step by step
- Find a bastion remnant in the Nether: any biome except basalt deltas.
- Wear one piece of gold armor so piglins stay neutral, and watch for piglin brutes who do not care about gold.
- Open every chest in the structure: bridge, hoglin stable, housing units and the treasure room all roll for Pigstep.
- Pigstep is the only music disc with a Nether source and the only one creepers never drop.
- Expect several chests: the disc is rare, so full bastion clear-outs or multiple bastions are normal.
- Play it in a jukebox and enjoy the only Lena Raine disc obtainable as loot: 2:28 of electronic hip-hop, added with the Nether Update.
Java vs Bedrock
Pigstep generates in bastion chests in both Java and Bedrock with the same loot tables. No creeper trick, trading or crafting alternative exists in either edition.
Versions: Pigstep exists since 1.16 (Nether Update), composed by Lena Raine. It remains the rarest-feeling disc because bastions are dangerous and its drop chance is low.
Frequently asked questions
Can creepers drop Pigstep?
No. The skeleton-kills-creeper method only gives the 12 classic discs. Pigstep is exclusive to bastion remnant chests, which is why it is considered the hardest mainstream disc to get.
Which bastion chests have Pigstep?
All bastion chest types can roll it: bridge, hoglin stable, generic housing and treasure room chests. Treasure rooms have the densest loot overall, so always clear them fully.
Why is Pigstep so popular?
It broke the C418 monopoly as the first disc by Lena Raine, its bass-heavy beat slaps, and its bastion exclusivity makes it a genuine trophy. Community polls regularly rank it the best track in the game.
