How to find Piglin

Crimson forests, Nether wastes and bastion remnants.

Spawn conditions: Groups of 4 in nether wastes and 3-4 in crimson forests, at light level 11 or less in Java (7 or less in Bedrock); also generated in bastion remnants. They do not spawn on nether wart or magma blocks. 20% (Java) or 5% (Bedrock) spawn as babies.

Drops

ItemAmountNotes
Held item (gold sword or crossbow)0-18.5% chance, +1% per Looting level
Bartering lootvariesNot a drop: throw a gold ingot at an adult piglin and it throws back items - ender pearls, obsidian, quartz, string, fire charges, iron nuggets, Soul Speed books and more

How to kill Piglin

Wear at least one piece of golden armor and they stay neutral. If you fight, a shield blocks crossbow shots; melee piglins hit hard, so pillar up.

Behavior

Neutral: hostile unless you wear golden armor. Adults spawn with a golden sword (45%), golden spear (5%) or crossbow (50%), and 10% per armor slot. Baby piglins never grow up, are passive and take gold without giving anything back. Source: minecraft.wiki Piglin.

Taming and breeding

Cannot be tamed. Adults barter for gold ingots; baby piglins take gold but give nothing back.
