How to kill Endermite

Only 8 health and a weak bite (2 damage, 3 on Hard): two sword hits kill it. As an arthropod it takes extra damage from Bane of Arthropods. It vanishes on its own 2 minutes after spawning unless you name it.

Behavior

Bites any player within 16 blocks. Endermen attack endermites on sight, which is why a named endermite trapped in a minecart is the classic bait in enderman XP farms. In Java, endermites also gang up on any mob that attacks one of them; in Bedrock they do not.

Taming and breeding

Cannot be tamed or bred - it is not a natural spawn at all. Endermites only enter the world when an ender pearl brings one along.
