How to find Happy Ghast
Does not spawn naturally. Rehydrate a dried ghast block (found near bone blocks in Nether soul sand valleys or bartered from piglins) in water for about 20 minutes to get a ghastling, which grows into an adult.
Spawn conditions: Never natural: waterlog a dried ghast for ~20 minutes to hatch a ghastling, then feed it snowballs (or golden dandelions, ghastlings only) to speed up growth. Cannot be bred.

How to kill Happy Ghast
Drops only its equipped harness. Killing one is pure loss: it takes 20 minutes of rehydration plus growth time to replace, and it is the only rideable flying mount in the game.
Behavior
A giant friendly ghast that hovers and smiles. Equip an adult with a harness (crafted from leather, glass and wool) and up to four players can ride it at once - the first to mount pilots, flying about 3.6 m/s with full vertical control. While ridden, its goggles slide down over its eyes. It can also airlift boats and leashed mobs in a 4-leash configuration, making it the best mob transport in the game.
Taming and breeding
Cannot be tamed or bred. Raise one from a ghastling and equip the adult with a harness to fly; shears remove the harness.
