How to find it
- Generates in 18 surface biomes, including dappled forests (usually with a poplar tree) - look for a white wool tent with a campfire
- One generation attempt per 34x34-chunk region, so camps sit 8-60 chunks apart (34 on average)
- Explorer maps found inside camp chests point to other abandoned camps, trial chambers and ancient cities
- /locate structure minecraft:abandoned_camp
Loot
- Barrels and chests: straw beds, white cushions, wheat, bread, coal, leather, arrows, string, bones, rabbit hide, glass bottles, white candles and cobwebs
- Wooden tools, fishing rods and bundles
- Explorer maps leading to other camps and to major structures
- Rare oxidized copper chest with better loot, often hidden under other blocks
Dangers
- Nothing spawns inside - it is one of the safest structures in the game
- Just the usual night mobs around the camp while you loot
Tips
- The tents are built from wool stairs: free early-game wool if you dismantle one.
- Tent fences and details change per biome (a pale garden camp uses pale oak fences) - with 10 tent variants per biome and 49 campsite variants, there are 8,820 possible layouts.
- Check under and behind blocks for the rare copper chest before leaving.
- Chain the explorer maps: a camp map can start a trail that ends at a trial chambers or an ancient city.
- Straw beds and cushions looted here are the fastest way to try the 26.3 furniture blocks.
