The icy sibling of jagged peaks: the same dramatic summit shapes, but the mountain is made of ice and packed ice under the snow - found on high mountain peaks in cold to medium temperature zones.

Why go
- Packed ice for boat highways and farms: skip the rare ice spikes and mine an entire frozen summit instead (packed ice never melts).
- Emeralds at altitude plus goat horns, with the coldest-zone scenery.
- Blue ice crafting: 9 packed ice per block, the fastest boat surface in the game.
Tips
- Silk Touch is required to harvest ice and packed ice blocks.
- Ice is slippery and the cliffs are lethal - boots on, bucket out.
- If your summit is bare stone instead of ice, you are on jagged peaks; frozen peaks only generate in colder temperature zones.
