How to get Beaconator

Kill the Wither to get a Nether Star (see the Withering Heights guide).
Craft a Beacon: 5 Glass, 3 Obsidian and the Nether Star.
Gather 164 mineral blocks for a full pyramid: 81 (9x9) + 49 (7x7) + 25 (5x5) + 9 (3x3). Iron, gold, diamond, emerald and netherite blocks all count and can be mixed. Iron is cheapest: 1,476 ingots.
Stack the four layers with the beacon on top, feed it an ingot or gem, and select a primary power.

Tips

A full 4-layer pyramid unlocks the secondary power (Regeneration or a level II effect). You can share one pyramid between up to 6 beacons by placing them in a 3x2 arrangement on top, which is the standard endgame base setup.
