How to get Bee Our Guest

  1. Find a bee nest on an oak or birch tree near flowers (meadow trees almost always have one), or craft a beehive from 6 planks and 3 honeycombs.
  2. Wait for honey level 5: honey visibly drips from the nest.
  3. Place a campfire directly under the nest, within 5 blocks and with no blocks in between: the smoke keeps the bees calm.
  4. Use a glass bottle on the nest to collect a honey bottle without angering anyone. That calm harvest completes the advancement.

Tips

A dispenser loaded with glass bottles can harvest honey without ever angering the bees, no campfire needed. And a Silk Touch tool moves a whole nest with its bees inside (see the Total Beelocation guide).
