How to get The Next Generation

1. Defeat the Ender Dragon (see the Free the End guide). The Dragon Egg appears on top of the exit portal fountain.
2. Do not left-click the egg directly: it teleports up to 15 blocks away and can fall into the portal, where it is lost.
3. Instead, dig under the block below the egg, place a torch there and break the block the egg sits on. It falls onto the torch and drops as an item. A piston push works too.
4. Pick it up: the advancement triggers when the egg enters your inventory.

Tips

Only one egg exists per world, so treat it as the rarest trophy in the game. Keep it in an ender chest or item frame, not in a chest somewhere you will forget.
