How to Make Quartz Bricks in Minecraft
Guide Java Bedrock
What you need
- 4 regular quartz blocks for 4 quartz bricks
- Or 1 regular quartz block per stonecutter conversion
- Stonecutter for the single-block route (optional)
- Pickaxe to recover placed blocks
Step by step
- Get regular blocks of quartz. Each one can be crafted from four nether quartz in a 2×2 square.
- For the crafting recipe, gather four regular quartz blocks.
- Fill your inventory crafting grid with the four blocks, or place them in a 2×2 square on a crafting table. Take four quartz bricks.
- For a single block instead, put one regular quartz block in a stonecutter and select quartz bricks. The output is one block.
- Use the white brick pattern for walls, floors or other decorative builds. This recipe does not require a furnace.
- Mine placed quartz bricks with any pickaxe to collect them. They drop nothing when broken by hand.
Java vs Bedrock
Crafting and stonecutting work in Java and Bedrock. Both routes preserve the block count: four quartz blocks become four quartz bricks, or one becomes one. Smooth quartz uses a different recipe and is not the ingredient here.
