How to get Hired Help

Gather 36 iron ingots and craft them into 4 iron blocks.
Build the body: one iron block on the ground, then three more across the top in a T shape.
Carve a pumpkin with shears (or use a jack o'lantern) and place it on top of the center block LAST.
The iron golem comes to life instantly, and the advancement triggers.

Tips

The pumpkin must go on last: placing it before the body does nothing. A golem you build yourself never attacks you, unlike village golems defending their villagers. Iron farms abuse exactly this recipe.
