How to get Monster Hunter

  1. Craft any weapon: a stone sword (2 cobblestone + 1 stick) is plenty.
  2. Wait for night or find a dark cave: zombies, skeletons, spiders and creepers are everywhere.
  3. Kill any ONE hostile monster. 41 different mobs count, from the humble zombie to the warden.
  4. The kill completes the advancement.

Tips

Fighting at dawn is safest: zombies and skeletons burn in sunlight, so you can finish them as they smolder. The Monsters Hunted challenge later asks for one of EVERY hostile monster, so note what you've already killed.
