How to get Cover Me with Diamonds
- Mine diamonds: branch mine or cave at Y=-59 (just above the bedrock layer) in the deepslate layers, where diamond ore is most common. Bring an iron pickaxe or better.
- Find 4 or more diamonds. Boots are the cheapest piece (4 diamonds); a helmet costs 5, leggings 7 and a chestplate 8.
- Craft the piece at a crafting table and equip it in your armor slot.
Tips
A Fortune III pickaxe more than doubles your diamond yield, so enchant before mining a big vein. Diamonds also appear in chests in villages (weaponsmith), shipwrecks, buried treasure, bastions and End cities if mining is slow.
