How to get Eye Spy

1. Craft Eyes of Ender: combine Blaze Powder (from Blaze Rods farmed at a Nether fortress) with Ender Pearls (from Endermen, Piglin bartering or cleric trades). Craft at least 12.
2. Throw an Eye of Ender and walk in the direction it flies. It has a 20% chance to shatter per throw, so throw sparingly: walk several hundred blocks between throws.
3. When the eye dives into the ground, the stronghold is below. Dig down carefully (never straight down: use a staircase).
4. The advancement triggers the moment you enter the stronghold's bounding box.

Tips

You can triangulate the stronghold with two throws from far apart: note the direction each eye flies and find where the lines cross. Bring spare eyes for the End portal itself (up to 12 more).
