How to get We Need to Go Deeper

Build a nether portal frame: an upright obsidian rectangle at least 4 blocks wide and 5 tall on the outside. That takes 14 blocks, or just 10 if you leave the corners empty.
Light it: flint and steel is the standard way, but a fire charge or even fire spreading from lava and wood works too.
Step into the purple portal blocks and stand still for a few seconds.
When you arrive in the Nether, the advancement completes.

Tips

Ruined portals in the Overworld can be repaired: their own chests often hold obsidian, a flint and steel, or even gold. Always carry a spare flint and steel in the Nether, because a ghast fireball can shut your portal down.
